New Defender early 2006

If you go to www.autoexpress.co.uk and search for defender replacement there is a picture of the prototype LCV2/3 which they say will be the new Defender. This will be able to be sold in the USA as it will meet new emissions and crash safety laws.Has anyone any more info on this ?

You mean this one?

Nothing further known by me but I am sure someone else will have something.

I thought that was a concept vehcile done a few years back, not something recent?? From memory it was a defender replacement idea, but it didn't prove particularly popular.

I think the vehicle in the pic is actually in a land rover collection / museum somewhere.

Too curvy :!:

Note to LR (Ford) Design Bureau:
1. Make clay model of proposed vehicle.
2. Examine clay model for curves.
3. Remove curves and replace with straight lines and pointy bits.

Ta da :!:
New Defender :!:

(Hang on, isn't that the same as the old Defender )

Dont like the nose, from what the picture reveals, the rear end has remained unchanged. It looks yucky. You are right in the to curvey vlad, the silver ones in the other thread are much nicer. Matt
