    Having owned & sold 2 civilian Isuzu wagons & spent about $500 on sound deadening on the second one, I say you are 100% spot on. In my experience, they are not a family touring or city vehicle. Some highlights were having to turn the motor off to order Macca's drive thru & setting off car alarms in car parks with - I guess- the vibrations. That said, they are a great vehicle for 4w'ding. They would have been perfect for the Army.
    And yes, a bit addictive as I bought one again
