Is it possible you feel you arent getting yr moneys worth?

I assume you are a subscriber? As to replying to your own
post. your post complaining you couldnt do that was done by doing
    that...

Hang around, you get used to it and there are very few
sites that dont have swearing or personal attacks already
    a great bonus right there!

Easy there folks.....before you kick his/ her backside on his/her way out of the door!

I'm keen to see this as an opportunity for improvement and to see if we can garner some insight into what other forum sites might be doing that's better than ours.

JPLS, is there anything in particular that you'd like to see other than faster searching?

How would you prefer the navigation to be set-up?
What are the inconveniences that you dislike?
Perhaps there are some threads/ structures that aren't as intuitive as you'd like?

Please could you provide us with some more information or suggestions and help us to update and improve?

    Thanks

    Bobby

Personally I don't see a problem, I'm on a lot of sites and they all have their own issues in some way, there's a lot more sites out there that are harder to navigate than here.

20 seconds WOW, how did you cope, must have been very stressful.

I find the search facility on AULRO a bit frustrating so don't use it. I use Google to search AULRO for me and I generally get better search results and faster.

The biggest issue I found with the AULRO is that so many threads start to go off topic or have people's anecdotes added which contain words being searched for but which add no value to the thread or original topic.

That said, there no need to have a flouncy huff and storm off when things don't go your way!

Unless you guys want to cough up for the large chunks of $$$ it would cost to run the site on a dedicated server .............. Don't complain! Searches smash the database, so they need to be restricted, so the site won't slow too a crawl.

You want speed... try 3:00am at night, you'll probably be the only user on ... and it'll fly (unless fo course you just found the time when the backup is running and the place is barely working at a crawl)

What do people expect for nothing. Even if your a subscriber it's still only a token gesture compared to the costs of hosting an active forum such as this.

Member for a couple of weeks, posts a couple of threads that were well answered, then cracks the ****s and leaves.
Maybe its best that we all move on.

Hmmm Incisor ... there is a much better search engine at the top of the page. It lurks right next to "New Posts" It is easy to click on "Search" then click on "Advanced Search". The Advanced Search has an extensive range of choices to limit a search to specific parameters that even keep me happy and I use search databases 7 days a week.

    Kind Regards

Who cares if there is a delay.

    It’s always worth the wait!

The only one that annoys me is when I have fat fingers before my morning coffee and double click the new posts.

The delay on that button frustrates me endlessly but that might be the lack of caffine again.
