And the honesty of the neighbours. It's easy to blame the contractor, and some have been caught red handed, but I think many would need to look closer to home.

I don't know what the rate of parcel theft is but it wouldn't take too much grey matter to link repeated thefts to a contractor.
On the positive side our postie (rural contractor) almost always delivers parcels to the back verandah. I don't ever recall anything going missing and occasionally if I can't get to the PO the Post Mistress will take it home and I pick it up from her on the weekend. I do love living in the country!
sent an ebay item to Brisbane auspost apparently delivered it 2 times in 3 minutes according to tracking but I had put 63 on the address instead of 65 which had been demolished and turned into a road , and yet the buyer never received it ! auspost reply but it was delivered my response ,how can it be when the address does not exist!!!!:angrylock:
instance 2 auspost delivered a parcel to work (brand new I PHONE )in box , postie too lazy to leave card and it wouldn't fit in the box so........ HE THREW IT OVER THE FENCE :(:( idiots
My parcel still hasn't arrived from Esk. At least it is unlikely to have been on the AusPost BNE-SYD truck that caught fire on 2nd May in Grafton. Everything on board was destroyed.
I was told by my LPO that Auspost aren't telling anyone unless they ring up to ask about their missing parcel(s).
When I asked about the fire, the Auspost help line didn't know anything about it. My LPO had told me abut it. The help line found the report when they checked.
so received an email from auspost yesterday at 510pm to say my parcel was in transit.wonder were from syd or darwin
