AULRO, a great family to be involved.

Without mentioning names as they know who they are, through the AULRO family we have had the most enjoyable week in Perth staying with a fellow member. Not only did this member give us full run of his house but also allowed me to use any tools required to give the car and caravan a full service.
So for those doubting the worth of this forum and it's membership, just consider what those members have done for others and what you might be able to offer to those in need in the future.

    Thanks Ian!.

Indeed... I have met some fantastic people through this forum and have tried to return a favour whenever people are on this side of the globe.

Another example needs reporting, recently approaching port hedland I contacted bushrover who had mentioned to do so when in the area. Well we met on a Saturday morning interrupting ricks hearty breakie and after paying for our coffees showed us some of the sights then offered use of his facilities for us to freshen up before changing out a transfer case mount and giving us an escort out to the highway.
Cheers to rick and dawn, hope to catch you again down the track.

I can add a story too. I'm heading to Melbourne to collect a 101 in a couple of weeks. The 101 is actually about 140km away from Melbourne but two Aulroians leapt at the chance to help out an interstater with an offer to pick me up at the airport and take me to the 101. Then further offered for me to stop in on the way back when heading for Perth. Certainly is a great family.
I recently had a young German motorcyclist stay here for a couple of weeks while he replaced his blown rear shock and replaced chain, sprockets, oils, etc. Great that things come around.

I think that many of us on here would have similar stories.

On our trip to Tassie late last year -

Met up with Shorty943 at his place in the Riverland in SA. Had a meal of crocodile steak and were offered a room / bed for the night. We were not allowed to decline.

Met up with Digger the following morning - were shouted a coffee at his "office" and spent a while there having a good chat.

Were invited to a monthly meeting of the LROCT by Wrinklearthur in Hobart. Met up with the members there in an auto accessories shop that was holding an opening event, and enjoyed a great evening.

Even had the D4 photographed by Dobbo at Cape Otway on the way back.

AULRO definitely is a great place to meet great people.

Since that trip - we have had the pleasure of Erich & Sheila (Bundalene) visit us at our place in Kalgoorlie.
    Cheers .........
