    Trips near lithgow? Anyone?

Hi all, can anyone recommend any good day trips or weekend trips within say an hours drive of lithgow, with say medium difficulty terrain. I have been on the gardens of stone NP track and the black fellows hand trail through to the glow worm tunnells. Can anyone recommend any others?

also look around jenolan caves, that is kanangra boyd np or jenolan state forrest. the state forrest is good for the harder stuff. the np is very steep but pretty easy.
abercrombie np is a bit of fun.

Aloa has covered most of them. There also is Sunny Corner, but that's pretty easy.
Abercrombie I enjoyed a lot, nothing too hard unless it rains :?
Lake Lyell is interesting to play around, have a look in the tracks section under my trip reports and have a look.
Kanangra Boyd has a few interesting tracks, especially the State Park, but they are few and far between.

    Cheers
    Chris

I forgot, the Hill End track is easy, but some of the tracks coming off of it can be nailbiting at times too! 8O

I did the Lost City a few times but that is locked off.

I haven't done the Spanish Steps (what is the status of that now?)

    Its off to Capertee then:

Hi all, regarding the spanish steps, i read somewhere, i think on another forum, that the spanish steps track is locked but organised groups can get the key from the mobile servo on main street in lithgow, if you dont know where the servo is, turn right at maccas (comming from sydney, left from bathurst) and keep going till you see it, its on the right hand side just after the mower centre. Has anyone else heard this? Matt

    G'day Kev,

    No.

I took my sons there subsequently and that was a photo taken by my youngest (Huw).
