He has been charged for rape for something that happened 7 years ago. Given he was only 16 at the time and is now 23 if found guilty is he sentenced as an Adult or a Juvenile??
Major part of the heart and soul of AULRO.comI believe people are charged and, if convicted, are convicted under the laws applicable at the time of the offence.
I'm surprised he has been named. Usually, if the defendant was a minor at the time of the alleged offence, then their identity is protected. At least, that's what appears to happen in NSW.
