Last Wednesday a neighbors tree took out our telephone line and of course our internet.not . Rang our internet provider I Primus and was told no later than the thirtieth. They apparently use Optus for fixing faults. So we would be not first priority as far as Optus is concerned. The thirtieth came and no action. So rang I Primus on the evening of the thirtieth and was told they still had to seven o`clock to fix it. Like that was going to happen. Missus rings the next day and was told it was fixed on the twenty sixth.
Missus points out that she would not be ringing if that was true. I get a phone call from I Primus stating the reason for our no internet and phone is upgrades being done in the area.

I ask if the tree falling over the line was part of the upgrades and in a mostly nice way let them know I`m not amused with there attempt at covering there own slackness.

To day it got fixed by Telstra, go figure that one. The price you pay for using mobs that have no service crews of there own. But they have a far better deal as far as internet goes than both Telstra and Optus for the same money.

Telstra still own and maintain the line, but place a low priority on another users issues.

I had an issue with my telephone line a few years ago now.Rang my provider(westnet),they said ring telstra..
Apparently its there problem up to the house,then its whoever you have signed with.
Got mine done with the next day.
