    Farewell for a while

I'm off to the desert for a few weeks.

Leaving tomorrow morning for something along the lines of:
Dubbo, Condobolin, Hillston, Wentworth, Renmark, Danggali Conservation Park, Yunta, The Flinders, Oodnadatta, Simpson, K1, Warburton Track, down to Mungerannie, maybe out to Kalamurina, back to Maree,Leigh Creek then across into Gammon Ranges, Corner Country before making our way across to Louth for the races and the (official) finish of the trip.

Should be back around 14th Aug - If you are out and about listen for mob 7669 on VKS skeds.

    Trip report after I'm back

Let us know if they have traffic lights out there yet, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Was on a trip through Alice Springs in 1985 when they commissioned the first set of lights - handed out flyers on what to do !!

Enjoy Martyn, I'll be a little too far north to bump into you.

I remember taking a quick day trip out to Kalamurina years ago (from Mungerannie). IMO it was well worth it. Despite it being a dry year at the time, the cattle looked fat and I managed to catch and release a few solid little spangled perch off a snag in Warburton Creek. Not bad for a desert in the middle of winter

Enjoy It's making me homesick. I'm in London at the moment and not home until 19 July.

    Cheers
