A friend of mine has a BelAir wagon in Toowoomba and I'm pretty sure knows at least another with a BelAir around there. Is the tag explicitly for the sedan?
A couple of months back I gave a friend a hand cleaning out the work body on a ute he'd bought from the toowoomba area, possibly as part of a deceased estate sale.
Amongst a LOT of otherwise worthless junk I discovered the body tag from a 1958 Chevrolet BelAir 4 door sedan thats been removed properly, most likely for a restoration.
To me, the tag itself is worth nothing, but out there somewhere is a Australian delivered, RHD '57 chevy whos owner I dare say would love to have it back.
I've done what I can through normal channels, but the vehicle has been out of circulation too long for the authorities to have any record.
Are there any 50's chevreolet owners clubs or similar in Australia that might be able to help me track it down?

The body style listed on the plate is "58-1849" which is a 1958 BelAir V8 4dr sedan
I've emailed the secretary of the Queensland Chev Club, hopefully he might know more....
That is very noble. I hope you find the car/owner it belongs to![]()
