Anyway, back to puppy dogs. Gerry is over a year old now and still as cute as a button. We play fetch every night when I get home. He has a good life - my Partner works from home so he spends his day in the office with her, then a walk then fetch with me at night and sleeps on the bed when he's lucky and the cats aren't around but has to rough it on the new couch if not.

Geez, Gav. I wouldn't like him to latch onto my finger, with those choppers!

Henry, the rough, tough, farm dog, made it into our Local Government publicity magazine.
He's with a young, local resident, at the showgrounds, in an ad. for the Dayboro show..
He might need an agent soon.

Oh yeah - watch out - he's a killer! I say that in gest but I am amazed on how many people are scared of him - and my Pug. I make sure he's not a bother to strangers that want to steer clear even though he pulls the leash hard to try and get a pat off everyone. We also go to training every week - he's great there - but soon forgets this is what he's supposed to do when we're out and about.

He's got very good bite strength - he'll jump up and hang off something he wants and I've come off second best trying to get things out of his mouth he shouldn't have - I made the mistake of sticking my fingers in his mouth to do this only once - then couldn't retrieve them when he bit down harder. He's fine when playing though - his play biting is well controlled though and he's never hurt me when we're rough housing.

    He looks half asleep.
Probably bored because there are no livestock around to round up

He got a bit agro the other day and rounded up a couple of JWs. The did a silly thing, by parking their vehicle about a hundred metres from the house and commenced walking down the driveway, toward the house. He didn't let them get too far.
I was a bit taken aback, as I've never seen him show any real aggression before this.

I'm not complaining, mind. It means that he's settled in on the property and having him a bit protective isn't a bad thing. There's been a couple of recent reports of unknown vehicles driving onto local properties without reason.

One of my Sons has his Kelpie/Collie cross trained to round up the chooks on command.

He gets all 12 of them into the coop generally within 3 minutes.Loves doing it.

The 2 separate fridge drawers are nice though. Given we only run a single trailer and that mostly has less than 10 tonnes on it the drivers don't complain about the power either. I've only driven it on the road bobtail which doesn't really count but it is smoother and quieter than my Hilux. I did ask the Boss if I could use it as my commuter but I got a death stare...
!700 litres would have been awesome. AdBlue capacity was pathetic as well. I had to carry bottles.

But 730, with OptiCruise, the thing was incredible.
