Snoopy, getting very old and slow now. 75% blind, 50% deaf, started having seizures but they've stopped now the grass seed was removed from his left ear. Just lucky it was side on to his ear drum so it didn't penetrate. He'll be 16 yrs old on 1/1/20. Love him to bits. My best mate for sure. Yes apparently. It was pressing on his eardrum and causing him to have problems walking and even standing up. When the grass seed was removed his seizures stopped. But also I noticed that the steroid tablets they gave me for his ears was reacting with the gabbapentin he has for pain relief. They said I could give them to him at the same time but it was giving him fits. So I separated the meds by 4 to 5 hours and the fits stopped. Bot meds are anti seizure meds and supposed to be ok but with Snoopy they aren't. Am weaning him off the steroids now. Almost finished.
Here's 70second video of Bikky and a bit of ball. Bit dry with the drought...

Hi Rod sorry to read that Snoppy was unwell again. Hope things pick up for you guys. Mario and I want to wish you guys a merry Christmas and safe new year.
Also give Snoppy a big hug from me. Heather
Thanks Heather and Mario, Snoopy is recovering well for an old dog. I've just found out yesterday he has Cushing disease. It won't kill him but it will be a little uncomfortable for him. He has a pot belly now and drinks a heck of a lot of water and is always going for pee's. All Symptoms. Lots of fatty lumps and an overly large liver which causes the pot belly. Eats too much too. Not really treatable in an old dog and very common to terrier type dogs. It's his 16th birthday on 1/1/20. I hope to have him with me a bit longer tho. As long as he's not in pain. He seems to be coping well. This heatwave isn't doing him any favours tho. Like me feeling the heat a bit. He's happy tho. Thanks again and merry Christmas to you both. Cheers Rod
Well Christmas day was rather special this year - we had the same number of furry 4 legged friends over as we had humans - 6 of each in total. There were my 2 Pugs, my former partners, my Sons partner with his Great Dane and 2 Frenchies he's babysitting for his Mum.
