A belated Happy Birthday to Snoopy and all the best for the New Year.

The Retriever was bred for us, the Lab was a rescue @ 2 years and is 6 months younger than the goldie. They are both 10 currently.
The Lab wasn't supposed to see Christmas. He has fairly advanced terminal cancer.

We have 7 kids & 3 dogs.

The 3 dogs just love our "Daughter". She just has a total affinity with them.
If she is out we know when she is home because all 3 dogs will race to the back door to wait for her to come in.
All 3 think it is fine to sleep with her (builds up her immunity I suppose?) & she doesn't even have to call them, just looks at them & they come to her.
I have to have food to even get noticed by them.
Currently she wants to be a Vet Nurse though her career ambitions do change regularly, but I suppose you can be a Vet Nurse, Professional Soccer Player, Pilot & Roadhouse cook all at the same time?? :)

My youngest daughter was a Vet Nurse , she now teachers Vet Nursing through one of the collages , she works from home.

Ours is the opposite,she is my shadow.Wherevever I am she is with me.
Waits at the front door or gate for me to come home if I am out,under my desk in the office.

SWMBO can’t work out why because I am very strict with her(the dog).
My thoughts are a dog has to be well trained,and she is,more obedient to me than anyone.

And I never feed her,it’s SWMBOs job.

Having a dog or 3 in bed with you doesn’t do any harm - have had cats and dogs on and in my bed since I was a kid. 2 Pugs currently on top of the doona when it’s warm but they’re straight under it with me on a cold night. [emoji106]
