We had a red dog when we were kids on the farm at Horsley Park.

Yep I can relate to that. When we got our current dog(pup, see post 73) we ended up having to get e stainless bucket for her drinking water, as all plastic ones lasted about ten minutes.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    Best. Thread. Ever!

I've enjoyed looking at everyones dogs.. and I'm not ashamed to say that I even shed a couple of tears when I came to the pics of best friends who have passed on..

I have two fur kids.. both spoilt rotten but loyal to the core..

'Arthur' (our Blue boy) is Cattle cross Border collie and far too smart for his own good.. and 'Abbey' (our red bitch) is we presume cattle crossed with maybe staffie.. (she was a rescue dog so history unknown) and she's about as stoopid as Arthur is smart but we love them both to bits!

Hope you got that dog out of the weather before that storm came in. Ears like that your dog would fly in anything over 20kts!

I'd love to get a third dog. Bendigo requires a permit though for anything over two. I wonder if it is hard to obtain

You generally only need your neighbours approval. If you get on fine with them, it shouldn't be a problem.

EDIT - looks like you need to fill out this form and cough up $70 as well. [ame="http://www.bendigo.vic.gov.au/files/7c9ea7a2-ead2-44f6-9589-a35b00f734ea/Keeping_of_Animals_Application_2014.docx"]Bendigo Shire - Keeping of Animals Application[/ame]

We have 2 dogs The Chad my 15 year old mate. No only has 4 teeth left but knows how to use them.

And then we have the wife's dog Jess. The only reason to fear her is bee in lick to death or drowning in her drool at meal time.

Our vet called her the fat goalie of the soccer team of Collies !

    Love them both!

I saw the post about Border Collie/Corgie Cross. My old mate (about 12 years old I think) used to be called 'Sawn Off' by the shearers and we had a doggy door cut at the bottom of the yards, which got a few odd looks. BUT he would fill a pen in half the time of the kelpies at the end of the day. He goes every where, ute, boat bike and he loves the kids. And by the way, he's called 'Dog'. A bloke asked me once about the simple name and I told him I had a lot on that day and the dog answers to it, so that will do!
