    RIP,Dixi.

Been so much fun with her over the last 12 1/2 years,so we are doing it pretty tough ATM,particularly SWMBO.
Dixi went everywhere with us,riding, walking,on the beach, camping, etc, etc,we now have a huge hole in our lives, but have to just get over it and move on.

    Resting on the couch

    Loved the outdoors.

I feel your pain,i cant believe how much we miss her, don't know if we can go through all this ever again.
I bet you feel much the same.
    SWMBO is more than devastated.
Best dog we have ever had by a country mile.

In the kayak with SWMBO just before Christmas. Not much of a pic.

Commiserations Paul, remember the good times and what you gave to each other.

It was around 9 months before we considered another dog & it did weigh on out mines if we were ready. I wasn't quite ready, but I wanted one as a companion for my wife who doesn't enjoy of the best of health. I feel now it was the best decision.

We would get another tomorrow, the breed suits our lifestyle, but we both agree we never want to go through something like this again, she was badly injured as the result of an accident. Her health was very good.

Maybe we have to wait a while.

Anyway, once the tears stop, and we can think straight,we will sort something out.
    Thnks for your posts.

Sorry to hear that mate. We lost our GSD Xmas 2021. Devastating but great memories of camping and being an integral part of the family. All the best mate. Cheers

That's the trouble with dogs; the bloody things die. Still, they make life a happier place while they're here.

Sorry for your loss too, Leonie.

    Show us your ...........DOG

Was looking for a file on an old hard drive and came across a pic of Willow from November 2012. She was 3 in this pic.

And just over 10 years later…

She’s still the same under the grey and cataracts - a sweet and loving soul.
