ops: sadly the beast is a bit like a heamaroid at the moment ,went out in it on friday nite ,got about 30 klicks down the road and it just up and died as if it had too much fuel going thru.managed to limp to a mates place,(strangely ,it was the same fella i bought it from!)and left it there till today, cleaned the plugs(covered in black soot)adjusted the carby rite back, checked the timing started it up and drove it home .was going ok til i got in my drive way when it started doing the same thing, belching copious amounts of black smoke etc,so i think it may be that as it was the first time the fuel tank has been filled in quite a while ,there could have been a residue of old fuel/laquer in the tank and that is what has been going thru the system, anyway ,until all problems are resolved ,it looks like the toyosan is going to fraser ops: bummer!will have to use the landy on shorter runs until then,oh well thems the brakes ,or lack of them 8O

If you too are out there slowing down motorists, you should hit the QLD government up for some of the revenue made from speeding tickets. Matt
