    Just finished another beaut book

I got it 2nd hand last week.
Marvelous stuff. Really tells the story of the between war days in the top end.

I shouldn't read these books because it just reinforces my lifelong regret that I was not born 50 years earlier.

    Oh well, maybe next time.

Good book, it sits beside " journey among Men " , in my bookcase.

Journey among Men, by Jock Marshall & Russel Drysdale, a story about an expedition to collect zoological specimens, but they soon became interested in people, as well as animals. Characters such as Harmonious Harry, The Tropical Frog, & Rob Moody, who kept the pub at Halls Creek. And the outlaw Sandemara, or " pigeon", captain, demon & long Franky, They visited every state & Territory, A good yarn. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Can recomend"GREEN MOUNTAINS" by Bernard O'riley, the guy who found the stinson wreck in lamington national park in the 1930's.That guy was unreal.Should be awarded a medal of some kind.Second part of book details his life from the early 1900's to 1939,when the book was written.Details on how they lived back then,do we have it easy or what! They don't make aussies like that anymore.Pity.
