A Cloud with a Silver Lining

For the last 12 months or so my wife has quite often been working late so, being that the drive home is very rural, about 8 months I dug out some old halogen spotties that I had taken off one of my old Rangies that I had moved on. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, she came home from work complaining about the lights. I went to have a look & found one smashed & one at a 60° angle. I then enquired whether she'd run into anything. After quietening her down I noticed that the 4 electrical wires had all been neatly cut so I think what's happened is that someone was trying to pinch them but found that without the correct socket extension it's not possible to get at the nuts properly, so in frustration, they damaged the lights.
And now ..the lining. Two days later I noticed, on sale at a very good price, a Cree 22" light bar with spots in the middle & spreaders either end so I bought the bar having a lot of trepidation as my wife thinks spending money on vehicle "extras" is a waste of money.
She came home from the first night drive with the bar & was ecsatic with the light It's not every day I have a win & get junior woodchuck points although I'm still dirty about the original event.

When I used to have a win like that I would mark the date in a diary and each anniversary I would have a one man celebration.
    A good feeling.
Looking back on it I think I used to celebrate about 365 days a year.

    Sigh.
