    Strange but true....

When my daughter, who has special needs was very young and unable to talk she had a rather novel way of communicating her needs. I would get a sudden flash of light behind my eyes, an excruciating pain in my head followed by an image of the object or thing she wanted. This could be a book, a teddybear or a cup with a drink in it. I would turn to look at her and she would be staring directly at me. The flash would be blinding and the pain excruciating, like an explosion in my head. Seems she only communicated in this manner with me. Thankfully once the words came the flash, painful headache and mental images went. To this day she can use the Puma remote to unlock/lock the Puma at a much greater range than either my wife or myself. Yep life is strange but wonderful.

Wierd things happen. My eldest daughter cannot wear a watch that uses batteries. They go flat within 2-3 days. We bought her a self winding watch about 20 years ago and it is still going well. Jim

Fascinating, isn't it. Its like the stories about women who go into labour when their twin sister is having a baby.

I must be a bit thick - it doesn't happen to me. Mind you, sometimes the dog stares intently at me and I suddenly decide I need to feed her. Maybe she's manipulating my mind.

My (recently) late FIL, John Bourke, liked to have a drink at our local workers club and he religiously "kicked off" early on a Thursday at the lunch time raffle. His wake was held there on a Tuesday and the following Thursday, 2 days after his funeral and a week after his last drink at the club, a visitor to the club by the name of John Bourke (spelt the same, Bourke with an "o") won 7 from 7 on Keno during the lunch time raffle. The following Tuesday, a week after my FIL's funeral, my FIL's membership number was the first one drawn out of about 6000 (including the non financial) numbers in the membership draw.
