Have you ever heard of 'volley sights' on older military rifles.

Thats exactly why i dont go rabbit shooting with a bow. If i dont have a scope i couldnt hit the side of a barn with an axe. Matt Originally posted by p38arover
Elisabeth and I had our first ever try of archery about 2 weeks ago.
At first try, hitting the target is a damn sight harder than you'd think.
I'm righthanded but I shoot, play snooker, and hop on a bicycle all left-handed. So I tried a left-handed bow. I couldn't work a RH bow.

Vlad, there used to be a club out Petrie way, Pine Rivers Archers?! Can't think of the name of the road, but it was a winding road near the lake/ river? Sorry for the vagueness, but have since moved to Central Queensland and gotten out of the archery scene. Anthony.

There's nothing like being absolutely, positively certain that you might hit something.
I do all my shooting with a minolta 35mm, that way I can only take a picture of my toe, not shoot my foot off.
