    Fyrlyt warranty

Brought a set of Fyrlyt spotties a couple of months ago and have been very happy with them! On a recent trip I noticed that both the lenses were cracked in the centre! There was no impact marks on either of the lights so I suspected a problem with the lenses!
When I got to the next town (Alice Springs) I called the manufacturer but could only leave a message (it was only 8am). After checking on the internet for local suppliers I was able to buy 2 new lens for $10! Had them installed when the manufacturer called back (at 9am), I explained the issue, he said no worries it is a known problem, give me your address and we will send out a new set of lens and a set of globes as a gift to apologise for any hassles!
Excellent service overall! No hassles about where I brought them, receipts etc! Not only great lights but great customer service as well!

    Just one batch!

Sorry I should have made that clear! Yes it was just batch, apparently they are making a new model of light that is more powerful and part of that is an upgraded lens. A batch of these new lenses was faulty, the guy I spoke to said that the injection pressure was to high and that some of these lenses got out into the marketplace!
When I was changing the lenses out I did note how sturdy they were! I am not so worried about stone strikes now!

    Thumbs up Customer Service!

Amazing! Lights are 4 years old now and both lenses have cracked, Called Fyrlyt to price new lenses and a reflector. They are sending me out a set of Lenses and reflectors for FREE! He was most apologetic and said they are developing a Pyrex lenses which should be out in a few months!
You really cannot ask for much more than that!
The other interesting thing he said was that they will upgrade the 5000 to a 9000 for around $500! Something to think about if you already have 5000's and want a bit more light! Like me!

My experience with FYRLITE was much the same, aftersales backup was impeccable. Great product, great service.

Just had two utes fail roadworthy as the lenses were not clear (among other faults), had to agree that one sets lenses had deteriorated.

Just got off the phone to FYRLYT and they are popping three sets of lenses in the mail at no cost, yep free. Keep in mind these lights are easily 4-5 years old. I was fully prepared to pay for the lenses. Paul indicates they are now using a new material for the lenses that deals with the UV better.

How do faded lenses from driving lights, which are not headlights or to be used with oncoming traffic a road worthy item?

We asked the same question, apparently in Queensland all accessories fitted need to be working, compliant and as in this case it’s lighting needs to pass a particular test, both work and can only come on with high beam and have separate switch.

Didn’t bother me as they are company/fleet cars and FYRLYT were happy to send new lenses. I was going to argue the point, the other option was to simply remove, than put them back on next week. The driving light will be fixed well before the other faults are rectified and a 2nd inspection is booked.

My Fleet happens to have the best lighting out off all our company cars, well in my opinion. I replaced the standard nite stalker that are fitted by TJM, others are happy enough with these and/or fit a cheapish LED light bar.

I’m betting there is another reference for light vehicles, will leave it for others to google if they want to dispute the inspector. Good chance if it’s required for heavy vehicles than the SMW would apply to light vehicles
