Thumbs down Customer service centres should have clear speaking representatives!

No wonder the blood boils when you have to speak a customer service representative to sort out a problem and the Swami that is put as 1st point of contact is not understandable. Maybe they should be very careful of who they select from employees to man this important position. If not comprehensible, chuck them on the production line or elsewhere ,but don't let them handle customer enquiries.
We bought our son a windows 8 lap top, , bought the correct proctective bag to store it. 3 months later my son opens up the laptop and where your finger contacts the edge of the lap top to pry it open, it suddenly cracks the screen.
We take it back to the store Office Works who inform us screens are not covered by warranty. WTF?
But they send it back to manufacturer. Today we got a call from office works to say the supplier has rejected the claim and said it was damaged due to abuse!. Heather sees Red as she was present when it happened and it happened by opening it as you are required.
She phones the repair centre and gets the Swami, she asks him to repeat himself many times, just can't understand him, and he babbles on.
No wonder customers get irate, and no where, probably this is advantagious to the manufacturer as claims are not honoured and makes them more profit.
After many requests to speak to someone else, a supervisor or someone that speaks english you can understand, Heather finally got to someone. A female Swami, at least she was a little easier to understand and eventually a comprimise was reached, still cost us $55, but better than the over $200 quoted.
Sorry but I am getting sick of having to deal with call centres that use these sort of people, it causes anger, frustration and probably brings out rascim. Don't put these people in charge of customer service!.

It's all about the business bottom line. Big business ethics and altruism parted ways a long time ago.

Quite simply, for the price of one Australian employee you can employ 10 Indians. And until employees are more valued than shareholders this will always be the matter of fact. I'd expect within a decade the Indian voices will become African, as they're even cheaper to employ.

    "Customer Service Centre".
Please refer to "Oxymoron" in your dictionary!
"Swami! How I love you, how I love you! My dear old Swami"
    Apologies to Al.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Give a break to the "new Australians" I have never heard similar reaction to your when I come to Australia back in 1969.
I think that this days people have a very stressful life, when it is not a road rage it is a telephone conversation rage
Life is to short to be on the edge every day..................

Sure they could have well English speaking support stuff. But then everyone would just start complaining about the price increase in the products.

Funny thing is every one speaks great English when they are gladly taking your hard earned cash, but when there is a problem you get the call centres. Not good enough, price has nothing to do with a claim.
Won't be recommending Asus computers from now on.

    Swinging the other way

Interestingly I've noticed a few companies now saying in their advertising that their support services are located in Australia.

Perhaps the English first language Australians that may be able to work in the repair centre are too lazy to actually work and have got themselves onto DSP.

Would you want "them" repairing your computer?

They'd probably forget to put the screen back in.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
