    Yes, it seems that there's a lot deep down there....

    Bob, you'd be interested to know the first flights of the season went to McMurdo in the last few days - the first outsiders they'd seen since March. I felt a bit sorry for the few who came out - they haven't seen the sun since early April and arrived in Christchurch to a cloudy afternoon...

    Was rather mild there yesterday - at 78°S it was minus 20°C, although the 20 knot wind took the fun out of it.
