    Donating medical supplies, who to?

After the recent death of my brother we are in the middle of the household cleanup that always follows.

My brother had MS and so for many years has been on medication of various types.
He managed to build up a fair stock of various new items including syringes (standard hypodermic plus single use self injectors), catheters and accessories, lubricants, saline etc.

    All unused and stored appropriately.
Seems a waste to throw out, does anyone know of a volunteer group (in VIC/Melbourne preferred) that might be able to use these locally or overseas?

I recall some volunteer medico groups but can't find details at the moment.
Checked with the local pharmacist who could help with the prescription medicines but not the hardware.
Or maybe someone like a diabetes support group?

You could try doctors without borders. However anything out of date cannot be used, and the cost of shipping may be too high.

Another option may be the local vet school.

The local district nurse may have some contacts or be of help.

    I can recommend Interplast.

They do critical life changing plastic surgery work in third world countries in Asia and the Pacific and always take lots of surgical supplies with them to leave with the local hospitals.

    Here's a contact link: https://www.interplast.org.au/contact/
