Port is not good with beer.
Trust me.
Never again.
(Ah, the misguided intentions of youth....)
I told the local CFS that we were a bunch of LAND ROVER owners and that a few of us wanted to help out.
The response so far:
MICHAEL,
I HAVE PASSED ON THE INFO TO OUR LOCAL RADIO STATION WHO HAVE BEEN RUNNING AN EXCELLENT APPEAL TO THE LOCALS. PERHAPS THEY CAN FORWARD TO YOU SOME OF THE LOCAL CONTACT WHO YOU CAN CONTACT WITH DONATIONS.
Cheers,

stay tuned...... (no bad pun intended)
Hi Michael,
That's fantastic that you are wanting to help, everything is so appreciated by the entire community. The best options is to contact The Salvation Army the are the basis and point of call for all charitable donations there contact number here in Port Lincoln is 8682 1609, they will be able to assist you with information regarding the appeal. We ran a huge appeal here yesterday at that radio station and the response has been fantastic, but help is still required so anything you can do is muchly appreciated.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further information.
Kind Regards
Tiffany MacNeil

I presume there's an 08 in front of that phone number - so I'll give them a ring...
OK I rang 'em and appraently the church there is running some sort of appeal. They'll ring me back on the weekend and let me know some details.
I hope they do. They were appreciative that people so far away would be interested in helping out
(If anyone happens to live in SA toward that area they are also doing furniture collections etc)

Didn't hear back from the church but the rural fire service contacted me:
Donations can be made to Red Cross - phone 1800 246 850.
