8O whilst i feel for the victims of the tsunami, i cant help wondering how little johny can just pluck <span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">1 billion dollars</span>out of thin air ,at a time when we at home have unempolyment,homeless,insufficient hospital systems,inadequate police forces,etc,etc,etc shall i go on?
What is left of the farm(australian infastrucure) to sell off to help pay for this Grandiose donation,one sometimes wonders if it is just a little bit of one-up-manship towards his "mate" George Jnr?
maybe i mite get the kids to make a big wave in the pool and flood the backyard ,mite be good for a couple of million :roll:
On a serious note ,it is a tragedy of immense proportion,one cannot begin to comprehend the losses suffered by the indonesian people and also the sri lankans,seems that the sri lankans are being somewhat forgotten ,maybe because their not a tourist destination :?

8) don't get me wrong, i know they're hurting out there in tidal wave land,
but if it hit here who would give a bill' to us?

if they look after us all, how come they did this to so many so cruelly?

i truly feel for the victims and their families.

its such a sadness.

I just hope the fundamentalists and extremists remember when the next terrorist attack against us happens that we saved their people .

And while I'm usually (ok, always) the last to defend the Yanks, don't forget that the CASH donations are just that. The Americans are spending a fortune in logistical support in addition. (even compared to us).

It was quite a terrible disaster and everyone should do whatever they can do to help.Unfortunately it appears we will be forced to help with higher taxes to fill feel good johnies promises.

I have to agree with you to an extent Harry, but I cannot fathom in my own mind the true extent of this disaster, so all I am going to say is whatever they give they give, After all the victims are the innocent people at the end of the day.
