Thread: any news on a 2005 Defender??

Hi,no news on this side of the world(UK)ill have a nose about here and if i find out anything ill post,tho i belive that the td5 is staying put for now.

By the way,im lead to belive that SA are re releasing the 3ootdi in to civillian defenders,due to sheer demand :?

Isn't it Jan 2006 that they have to find a replacement for the TD5? Something to do with Euro polution levels?

I think a D110 with the new TDV6 motor would be the best.

Even a detuned version - so the Disco 3 drivers still think they are superior [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

Even detuned it would still outperform the D3, as the next Defender just has to be lighter than the D3, which is apparently sufficiently heavy to create its own gravity.

ok, if they add the td6 motor ,well ok it more electrics 'n' stuff,what the hell will Ford do to the bodywork?

I think that 2007 sounds right, i think that is when pollution regs are set to be tightened here in oz. Matt

The TD6 will also be dumped in the near future - ending the BMW connection.

Come on, we cannot have the flagship vehicle with less power, in both V8 Petrol and Diesel motors, than the current Disco 3???
