    Nite out at the Drags

    Hi Guys
    I took my young bloke up to Perth to the drags last nite,what a blast!!!
    I havent been to the drags for at least 15 years,probably longer.They had the Jet dragsters on.The best pass they did was a tad over 5 secs at 489kmh,wow what a site!!!!
    There was a large field of "Supercharged Outlaws" Their loud ,fast and 1st class showmen.Getting down the 1/4 mile in around 6 1/2 secs and around 370kmh.Plus a full support of street cars and bikes including a Nitro Harley,the fastest in Aussie at the moment(FROM WA!!!!)
    The Kwinana Motorplex is a great world class venue,the old Ravenswood track just doesnt compare.They kept the cars and bikes coming thick and fast all nite except for a short delay due to a few spots of rain.
    They have got Top fuel dragsters on at the end of the month,my boys favourites,so he wants to go again!!!!! BUGGA is all I can say [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

    Yeah, i went to the opening os the Western Sydney International Dragway in Jan 2004, awsome day, bloddy hot though, 42 degrees and no shade.

    The top fuel dragsters are really something, make sure you take some ear plugs. If you thought the cars you listed were loud wait till you hear a top fueler do the 1/4 mile in under 5 secs.

    The drags are a top day out, i think the best part is not having to move you can see everything from anywhere. Matt

    The two best tracks in Oz are Willowbank (Qld) and Kwinana (WA). It's to do with the density of the air, you know. Or so says Victor.


    Top Doorslammer is fun, but Top Fuellers are just plain gut-rumbling excellence (like a good curry).
