The second row of seats are for the 'human winches'

I just tracked down a pic of that Jeep Ute....hmmm sweet! This is exactly what LR should be aiming at for the new Defender.

Without wanting to be stoned to death....if it was not for LR and if they go the soft route with the next Defender, I would become a Jeep man.

Hmm that would take an awful lot of money

There's a feller in our local Landy club who is convinced that Toyota is the way of the future coz LR is disappearing up its own arse (or words to that effect). He's now driving a LandCruiser trayback. Wonder if he realises its that attitude which is contributing to LR's problems rather than alleviating them.

Still comes to meeting for some reason. I think he has a series truck parked somewhere as an excuse for that.

On the upside - a mate of mine in the club is ditching his Rangie and buying a Defender 110 trayback. Yay :!:
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Sadly...I think this guy is on the money in terms of LRA, but not convinced Toyota have all the answers (their current IFS debacle is an excellent case in point).

BB/Incisor -- did we ever get an answer to our invite from someone from LRA to attend this forum? From memory we were seeing whether Mr Morten (CEO LRA) or one of his customer service reps wanted to drop in for chat or help with any customer issues??? I cannot see how this would be too resource intensive for LRA?

Anyone seen just how much LR's go for in the Uk even with the exchange rate surely it's got to be cheaper to import you own.

Are there any differences to uk models to australian models other then greedy little LR stealers making huge profits?

Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to import you own LR from the UK?

    G'day Jason

Short answer. Big bucks! You get hit by customs (I am sure Vlad can elaborate on the exact rates), but unless you have owned the vehicle OS for a number of years it makes it very expensive.

The UK range is a lot more expansive in terms of Defenders.

When I last asked a LR dealer why they were not reducing their prices as a result of the Aussie dollar improving against the pound, I was told that LRA was recouping their losses 8O At the same time, Jeep dropped their prices on the Wrangler by about $3,000. They wonder why they cannot sell any D90s!

I was wondering about this the other day. The invite just seemed to disapear into the pest thread area. It really saddens me to see what the people in charge are doing to LRA.
