Hey baz, I'll have a chat to my neighbour. I know he's looking at upgrading to a Discovery 3 when they come out and will want to get rid of his. It's a very nice unit, well looked after and never been offroad.
You are soooooooooooooo Funny Maggot, is it natural or did you take stand up comedian classes?
How did it go redback? Matt
...
Stacey and i looked at a defender, but the one we wanted was out of our price range- An Extreme- and we decided the disco was better for our needs as it would be my daily driver and ferry the family around on weekends.
Oh Kev, are you going to be able to make it to my place on the 1st weekend in feb? Matt
...
The Chat seems to have gone off track a bit.
So you will all be please to know that we have decided that the Discovery might be the car for us.
Does anyone know of a Mechanic who would do an inspection before we buy a car.
We have found a car and it looks OK but Barry is a bit worried
It's a bit of a hike, but if they will let you, take it to KLR at Kingswood.Quote:

Apart form seeing how it is over a decent drive, and getting it up to tempreture, Matt or Brad can look it over, tell what is what and what it costs if needed. There is Graham Cooper at Sydnham but they charge well. and so do 4WD Service Service center at Taren Point. But' for a real 'no sh*tter'' see KLR.
If you get the later model with coils all round, you can do a 2 inch lift with no specila parts, just springs.
Yeah I know what you mean. The Disco is lovely around town and as a tourer but without some modifications I would break it!Quote:

They are so much more comfortable to drive around town than the Defender .
But every vehicle purchase is some form of compromise - so I am happier taking the Defender out on weekends to the places we end up - and I wished I had kept my old '95 V8 Disco for the around town duties .
You can't have it all - in one vehicle .
You have to have a choice of at least two - if you can afford it .
