I have the same problem trying to download Ag Journal articles from the web, they want me to subcribe to the Journal just to get one or two articles. I think it is criminal to charge for a 4 year old journal article. matt

Nothing wrong with protecting your intellectual property!

I am OK with charging, but it is another thing when it becomes extortion.

Just a matter of it being competitively priced.

I think the biggest problem is how safe the payment method is, it is very easy to pay be credit card by phone, but how safe are some of these sites, hackers are pretty good, they are always one step ahead of microsoft. Matt

Actually 6 steps ahead of Microsoft.

    What a rip !!!!

    Its like car parts prices.

Imagine if they added up the cost of all the artciles in that days issue at those prices :!: 8O

It would come to a hell of a lot more than the original $1 odd cover price that will have included the paper it was printed on :!:

So much for a "free press"
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

If you think articles are expensive, you should see how much it costs to buy a picture which has been used in either a Fairfax or News publication 8O
