Shouldn't that be "absents makes the heart grow fender"??
My eldest son (LRDan) has just arrived home after an 8 week stint on the Sunshine coast doing aviation study.
Whilst there one of the other students rolled up with a new or near new Defender. Danny who has a liking for Fenders and has said he would like a 90 one day, fell in love.
During our communication whilst he was in QLD he said he was going to sell his P38 and get a Fender.
He arrived home Friday night and on Saturday there was a conversation that went like this.
Danny(D) "I have decided to not sell the RR"
Me(M) "Why not"
D."Because it is a Range Rover"
M. "I know that but what made you change your mind"
D. "Because I saw it".
This cracked me up. I can fully understand this though.
The old saying "Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
1983 RR gone (wish I kept it)
1996 TDI ES.
2003 TD5 HSE
1987 Isuzu County
Shouldn't that be "absents makes the heart grow fender"??
I told him how , whenever we are out on a weekend , the Rage Rovers seem to do everything with aplomb.
Range Rovers also do it with aplomb.
wasn't there a joke about an abscess and a honda?
look in the jokes thread.....
