While i was in Canberra last week, I made sure I was at the Memorial for this ceremony.
I was glad I did. Its a bit difficult to express my feelings, but it was dignified, and touching.
About the only criticism I would have, is choosing members of the public to lay wreaths at the Pool of Remembrance. Most appeared humbled by being asked, however there were some that seemed to me to only doing it to get their 20 seconds of fame.
I had intended on being there for the Changing of the Federation Guard, however, it was cancelled for some reason. I was most disappointed, but glad I saw the Last Post Ceremony.
