Feeling a bit sad. I sold BERT today. He is a MY 12 90. I bought him when my wife was living in Melbourne and I was working in Sydney. We had one bub on the way and my Patrol had nearly 300000kms. We had another bub and the wife left me. I got the rear seats modded for child restraints but it is very hard to strap two kids in the back of a 90 in baby seats. I have spent over $12000 on extras from Mulgo and Rijidij, first class parts. I sold him to a bloke who lives near Port Douglas, my home area. He is a Pom and his kids are all grown up. He wants to use BERT for what he is designed for. I had offers from a bloke who drives a Mercedes convertible in Brisbane, who wanted BERT for pose purposes, to a CUM (Cashed Up Miner) who wanted BERT for a paddock basher for his kids. He has gone to a good home. I am now in the market for a Disco 2 or 3. I know a Disco makes way more sense for me with two kids and two dogs but I will miss my Defender.
