had the local screen fitter in at aulro central today to pop the screen out of the wife's d1 and he said a couple of things i don't recall hearing before
if you touch up the paint around a windscreen make sure you use a good primer then use 2 pac paint to paint it.
the activator they use to glue the screen just melts acrylics etc and the screen wont seal at all well as the glue will lift easily.
also the d2 leaking over the top of the screen is a manufacturing fault in that landrover often missed using sealant in the two seams in the front of the roof
hopefully he wasn't telling me porkies
found some surface rust round the screen seats on the disco so cleaned and primed and will hit it with some 2pac tomorrow
went round to my local paint shop and got 250ml of 2 pac and enough hardener to suit for $30, which should do the job easily.
new trims from mr and hopefully no more leaking screen after it is all fitted back up in a day or two
how long does 2 pac take to dry and harden up enough to have the screen fitted again?

Over night should be OK Dave, usually 2 hours in a heated booth would be good to go.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
AT RESTInc use a 2pac primer for your 2 pac paint, I found ordinary automotive paint primers gives.

painted it with the 2 pack this morning and it is just a little beyond tacky now so should be fine for getting the screen refitted tomorrow i hope..
