Seen this happen plenty of times in my mates old trans shop, backyarders not knowing how to fit a converter, then blame the transbuilder for it.

I've only had to do this once (custom TC into the front of a C9) and it is a very subtle feeling when the dogs on the TC properly engage with the pump.

Took quite awhile to be happy with it before bolting the whole trans up the the motor, then the TC to the flex plate. There was about 1mm clearance between the TC and flex plate with the trans bolted up so I knew I wasn't crushing the pump.
