Interesting, I was watching this video just last night. There is quite a bit of chatter about motorized bicycles. One of the older chaps up here (an ex-pro rider in fact) is even getting one since he just can't match the pace of other riders up the hills.

Even a bit of background Land Rover action to keep the non-cyclists interested...

New laws being pushed now for all cars to be parked on the footpath and nature strip as they are in cyclists way.

Not sure about the other one but in my opinion, if you're riding and run into anything stationary it's your own fault and nobody else's.

    Interesting concept.
The local council (which is a law unto its own) fines vehicles that are parked on the nature strip or footpath.
I'd love to see that law brought in.

While I have more patience than most when it comes to cyclists, if they run into any stationary object, then, well, tough **** for them...

Yeah, heard about this on the radio this morning. As the carparks are privately owned, I'm not sure who is going to force them to make any (very expensive) space available for bikes without charging for the privilege. How much are the cyclists willing to pay for a days parking?

Interesting concept, the only problem is.........if cars are parked on the footpath, where are pedestrians supposed to walk????
