Sod this, Im buying an armoured vehicle

Im sick of this, out and about for 45 minutes today.

rear ended twice by tailgating idiots who forgot that stopping distances increase in the wet and bald tyres dont help... its only been raining for 4 days here now minimum...

driven into the back of in a carpark by some idiot chick who thought her phone call was more important than situational awareness, apparently my fault for trying to reverse park into a car park.

and then after not being able to get what I was in the shops for anyway I find someone loitering around the disco just to tell me that someone had backed into the corner of my car with their trailer and cracked the rear tail light. Of course they didnt get any details or regos so I could do anythng about it.

Some on Somewhere Must have a dingo scout car or ferret they can sell me.

    Dave,
There was an APC for sale on gumtree here in WA last week.
I had 3 near misses last week towing a car trailer and car. 1 with an empty trailer and that was the only reason I managed to stop was the trailer was empty. On all 3 occasions a moron decided to change into the left lane which I was in approaching traffic lights and then stop dead into a gap that was only just long enough for their car. 2 on down hill approach and the last one across 3 lanes and actually sideways across in front of me. Now if I had not been anticipating this sort of action I would have hit all 3. None of the 3 even used an indicator, slowed or gave any sign they wanted this lane.

    Interesting topic.
Im new to owning a Defender and notice people seem to love cutting me off....stupid overtaking moves and generally being dicks.
last weekend in the wet i was doing 95ish in a 100 zone down near Batemans bay and a young girl on her p's pulled out from a street on the right sending me into the dirt on the left to avoid killing her and then had the nerve to give me the finger!!!
I think maybe people just see the Defender as a big slow lump they they need to be in front of.

I don't see it as a want, more a need or requirement.

Personally, I'd be looking for an armored Mack wrecker.

I think the Saracen APC that's still on gumtree would have more street cred. It has 6 wheels and you can fit a .30 Cal to it easily enough.....
