Well, it's not fully carpeted. You can see still bits of the walnut trim and leather.
So you removed it all 'cause you actually use the vehicle for what it was intended for??

I was told 2005 build were in stock now.

They don't use shagpile anymore, the corgi's did not like it.

However, white roofs are back, but bullbars, sidesteps and those fabulous "Xtreme" stickers have been dropped... and of course the price has gone up to compensate for these deletions.

Sounds like a great step forward

I suppose the alloys are now gone as well???

I think mine has just gone up in value

I reckon you're right Noddy. Mine is an '04 and that was obviously a good time to buy, just before the change from Xtreme to Rdinary.

Although I'd swap my alloys for steelies and I've already removed the Xtreme stickers.

rmp -- I am quite lucky as I have four spare alloys, although having said that I have not come close to damaging any of them.

As far as alloys go, I think they are extremely strong, not as strong as steelies, but you would have to be going pretty hard to damage them. Nice and slow I say, the world is so much more enjoyable....

It just takes a stone chip to damage them and I wouldn't like to use tyre levers on them either. The strength isn't a concern. Mine aren't damaged either.

I was joking. There is no carpet in my Defender. Never has been, never will be. I do however have LR-branded rubber mats. No Xtreme came with carpet either, AFAIK.

Hi, After running all these questions by Marcel at the last BBQ. This is what he said

Question- Is it true they are scrapping all the models of the defender accept the base 110 wagon?

Answer- No you can still order any model you want, including the 90, but because the dealers dont get them on consignment, they have to buy them, they dont order floor stock as they are so slow selling. You can order any model want with any factory accessories, but there is a wait or around 3-4 months.

Discounts are unlikely, bug ones anyway, because there is such little mark up.

I think this is all right. Matt
