Smile For the love of a dog, this will make your day

This is absolutely wonderful, it is so nice when we see the love between humans and dogs

That's an amazing story, good on her for helping the dog, having a dog with 3 legs ourselves(front left missing) and everyone telling us don't buy her, it's cruel and it should be put down, we ignored them and bought her anyway, best dog we have owned.

What a loverly story. My wife kept going aaah, aaah, when she saw it. The prosthetics would have cost a fortune.

Our story is similar, not quite as amazing, but she was a test case for the RSPCA, normally they just take the leg off at the shoulder, as it protects vital organs, but with Pepper, they not only took the leg, but took the shoulder as well, they couldn't tell us excactly how she was injured, but they did say she may have been a bait dog for fights.
She has always been aggressive towards other dogs, fine with people and kids(especially kids) so we sorta leaned that way.
The other theory was a very nastey car accident, she apparently had a lot of tearing of tissue and muscle, she was in a very bad way and even after we got her home, took a while to recover properly.

She's getting on now, 14yrs old, and starting to struggle, but she has defied everyone by getting to this age.

She looks in great condition for 14 years old! You must be spoiling her mate It ****es me off the dog fighting circuit About 7 months ago dogs were getting stolen on a regular basis and the story goes the were ending up on the Atherton Tablelands for fighting. But full credit to you for taking in 'pepper' and some of the best dogs I have had have been rejects or ones I have been told to stay away from.

Hope you all have a great Christmas & NY holiday (in the High Country I expect ?)...Especially for Pepper, as we know you always take your dogs along for the holiday fun... She is a lovely girl. This is our second Christmas without our mate Cougar and we still miss him after 14 years of the best companionship anyone could ask for.

Best wishes to you all. Hope to catch up when you get back in the NY.

Cheers, Erich & Sheila & family

I've met Pepper, and she is indeed a fantastic dog!! She seems so at ease on three legs, and you were 100% right to buy her!
