What chance of converting a tojo driver?

My boss is a tojo driver (series 80) and is looking to replace it. We have regular "discussions" about the better vehicle (landies of course) and he recons that there is no chance in hell of him owning a landie, although he has done a few work trips in mine and been "supprised" (for want of a better word) at how capable and comfy it is. (one of the company cars is a 99 paj..... and it is rough as hell on dirt roads)

He believes that the new 100 series tojo is too big for his needs and is contemplating the new paj....

I want to get him into a S2, but i think it will be a little while before my dealer out here has one for play.

What chance do you recon I'll have if I can get him in a S2, or is it a waste of time??

    Cheers

Never a waste of time, I think you are in with a chance, if he is supprised by yours he has already underestimated them. Keep suprising him with yours if all elses fails, get him on here we will convince him. Matt

he's a big lad, and complains about the seating, I can understand it in the defender, but even with the S2 he recons the seating is too small.

P.S. I meant the new S3 to trial him in. I havn't seen one myself, but hoping for feedback from others

Trust me when i say he wont have a problem in the D3, he would feel comfortable in the extra seats in the back. They are cavernous inside. Matt

Go in everyday and ask "Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" in a really annoying voice, do this twice a day, morning and night till he gets it. Matt

The D3's a big vehicle though isn't it? If the 100 series piece of crap is too big, surely he'll think the same of the D3.

just take him on some serious off road trips with you leading.....
after he gets stuck a few times he will get the message.......

or you can tell him to swap cars for a little while so you can watch yours to see how its doing.......then he will see and feel the difference.

They are much bigger than the Series II, not as big a the 100 series though, the titanic is small parked next to a 100 series. I passed on today and felt like i was in a barina. Matt
