When I was selling my RR Classic LSE (woe, the day) but anyway....
This older bloke rang up and asked me about 1,000 questions about the car.
Yes the air suspension works, yes the interior is very good, yes all the gadgets work, yes the kms are genuine, yes it runs well, yes the viscous coupling works... etc etc etc.
Seemingly satisfied he arranged to come and have a look.
He and his mate turned up and spent HOURS looking over the thing in minute detail.
I didn't really care, I just left them to it, until they starting pointing out a hairline crack in the paint here, small stone chip there....
Yes I said its 94 Rangie its now 15 years old and has been used so not always garaged. They tried to get a discount in price for every insignificant issue down to the faded decals on the tailgate !
Anyway I told them my price and said I wouldn't go less. Then this fella pulls out (what he assumed was) his "ace' card.
"I've got cancer.. how much discount will you give me?"
What ?off ! GTFO !
