Very sad. I don't know what the answer is, we enter their environment and accept the risks, they have every right to be there doing what they've always done. Doesn't make it any easier for the family and friends of someone who's taken. It's just a terrible thing.
You wouldn't believe what SWMBO is watching on telly right now. Jaws.

We were swimming with the kids on the beach probably a few hundred meters away when a guy drove up and told us to be careful as the attack had just happened. A while later the beach was closed for swimming but we didn't need telling twice. Very sad for the family. Photo looking out on the beach shortly after.
A bloke on my hunting forum said the young bloke killed was his son's mate. Very sad.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Very sad. Foxtel has been running a series about sharks, and the recent attacks in W.A. had their own episode. One interesting theory from the fisheries people about the Albany area stated a large female had taken up residence, and was attracting males, wanting to mate. Some of the great whites were 4 to 5 metres , that's a huge shark. Also, a fatality off Rottnest Island on a diver was attributed to a 4 metre Tiger shark, I believe.
One part of the show was dedicated to scientists, working with a wet suit manufacturer , trying to determine alternate colours for wet suits, and the underside of surf boards, because the scientists , in W.A., had determined white pointers were colour blind, and certain colours would not attract them. Part of the test was to fill two wet suits, if you will, with fish & fish oil and submerge them adjacent to each other with a camera filming. Sharks ripped apart the normal coloured wet suit, to get to the fish, did not touch the alternate coloured one. With surf boards, it is thought most attacks are just to test if the object is edible. Very interesting series, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Our own Ron and Val Taylor filmed and confirmed all this shark behaviour 20 years ago but no one cared.
Why do we react like this to shark attacks?
If the automobile killing frenzy currently throughout Australia was treated the same there would no cars left on the road.
