    Base v6 Disco 3

Anyone seen anything on the base Disco 3 with 4litre v6? I hazard to guess it is the Exploder engine which I think also comes in Jags.
performance? does it come only with coil springs?
Rover are VERY quiet on this one

    Phillip A,

S can be optioned with air suspension which includes the terrain response at $3450.

I read somewhere the V6 is from the Ford Explorer but I don't know it's origin (i.e from the Jag or not). I've never seen any write ups on the petrol V6 being tested. The write ups tend to concentrate on the TDV6 and V8. There isn't much around probably because the petrol V6 is only available in some smaller markets like Australia and deliveries haven't started yet.

Some specs are on the LRA website.

The inside info I had on the V6 is that you would not want to touch it. It is way underpowered for the weight of the Disco and fuel economy figures as quote by LR are worse than for the V8

    maybe--
if you go onto any of the pommy websites looking for V8 info
the only place is the RR forums,
Pommys just DONT buy V8 disco's,,
    why?
dunno maybe its a silly class structure thing,,
more likely stingy poms and fuel pricing though---

sooo- to entice more poms into petrol LR's they include a NON V8 disco

The price difference would have to be enough though,,
or else why would you bother??

If you had to pay nearly $3 a litre you would shy away from big petrol engines too.

Just about everything is going diesel in Europe.
