NB ****! How much do Land Rovers cost on Lebanon, a gazzillion LBP?
Heheheheh first Land Rovers Defenders are not imported since they are only available with Diesel engines, so the other option would be a Freelander, Discovery and the plethora of Range Rover models.

To make it simple we normally use the US dollar.

If we consider that a Discovery costs 60,000 USD the equivillant in Lebanes pounds would be 90 millions LBP with the largest bank note being 100,000 LBP so buying the Discovery would require going to the dealer with 900 bank notes

As a newby to this site I would just like to say thanks to Inc and his team for all the hard unpaid work they put in here.
I'm sure when I have been here as long as some I may take it for granted but until then I am gratefull for the help, advise and most of all the ability to join a network of LR minded people.
I have paid my subs and as far as I am concerned it is a pitance compared to the value I have gained here.
    Thanks again.

When I made my post yesterday morning as a non subscriber ,I could not read anything on the site and got a message saying I was not entitled or something simular , I forgot that things were changing but if I could not see anything as a non subscriber I thought that the site would eventualy go down hill . Today I had another look and found I can see most things I could not see yesterday , Not sure what is or was going on , so will reconsider my post to leave and will probably subscribe as I also believe the value of the site , even though a lot of vitriol has been handed out by some .
I don't have or use add blockers , never new about them , I wonder if the sage advice handed out by some in this thread are the ones using these things that have got the site to this point .

I still can't believe there are people who would abandon this forum for the sake of a paltry fee of $11. Inc has invested a hell of a lot of his time and money to get this to where it is and his reasons for doing this are to ensure it stays viable and continues on if something should happen to him. I feel he is to be congratulated for this decision. It's all been said above but for $11 where can you get the information, knowledge, experience, friendship etc etc that you find on this forum and the immediate response if you are in trouble somewhere and need help. Priceless is the word that comes to mind. Members who are virtually strangers will go out of their way to assist and even offer accommodation until you are on your way again. I realise that there are some who always take and never contribute back but I would urge them to have a think about it and consider the benefits of being a subscriber to this great forum.
A small fee spread over a lot of members ensures AULRO will stay afloat in the future and is a small price to pay. I am on a pretty tight budget myself being semi retired and having suffered a serious health scare in the last year but I would rather scrimp on something else rather than my subscription here. My 2c worth..

I feel AULRO should move into the 21st century, or run the risk of becoming irrelevant. If we have to pay for the priviledge, that's what you get for being on one of the best 4x4 web sites in the world. And yes, I look at other sites on the forum. Just don't feel the need to advertise the fact. Bob
I still luv ya Bob. you get a bit toey at times but I like reading some of your Threads. I feel that I am part of the silent majority not the the noisy minority that jump down your throat every now and then.

We agree, although this is a LandRover Forum first and foremost and LandRover related subjects must take priority, I am one of the many that are interested in other subjects and rather than join a myriad of forums relating to each interest I find it easier and very informative to follow my other interest here and they are well catered for.

Haven't read all the posts, but this one pretty well sums it up for me.
Thanks Inc and all the others for their hard work.
And everyone else for their helpful posts and threads.

And FFS for a few dollars people are complaining....
If it was double the cost i would still be here.

To be honest I think we should take any complaining as a compliment

    Why?

Because the way I see it if people are complaining it's because they fear they are going to lose something they like.

If they didn't like it they would just shrug their shoulders log off and walk away

    AULRO Fees

Last time I popped into the newsagents most Four wheel Drive magazines cost around the $10 mark with a few overseas publications costing more. One magazine equals a whole years subsription to this site. I find that quite good value for money in todays terms even if I was trying to save money there are somethings that really do add lot of value and pleasure
However, each to their own and this site may not be for everyone, i accept and respect everyone right to make a choice.
I am looking forward to enjoying my subscriotion to this site.
Best regards for 2015 to all
