I'm still trying to get to grips with what I can do and what I cant do. I'll then make a decision.

We are all trying very hard to make sure that the soul of the place does not change....

The benefit is simple..... we are trying to ensure the site survives. As blunt as this might sound, Dave nearly died in 2014.... if he had, the site would probably be gone now.

The goal of this is to ensure AULRO continues.

(We'd like Dave to hang around a while longer too BTW. )

Take your time getting to grips with things and feel free to ask questions or give us feedback through open forum or you are welcome to PM me or any other mod.

We want everyone to stay.... the change is simply necessary to ensure AULRO stays too.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

why have 15 pages of crap about it
It's actually the threads with pages of crap that set this place apart from a lot of the other car based forums on the net. Further, I think the place was more interesting when the old soapbox was around. I used to visit it first thing daily to see what rubbish was going on, then I would see if there were any local trips on, then look at funny pictures, then my car model in the Pinnacles. I wouldn't even give General Chat a glance in those days. When the Soapbox disappeared I lost half my post count if that is an indication. I know there is the sealed section now but I haven't signed up, it's like it's a separate forum probably with a much smaller base of hard core posters. The diversity on it has to have suffered from the isolation. I'm on a Jeep forum that I never visit because all they talk about is car parts, mods or Jeep focused topics. About as interesting as reading a phone book. This place had, well still has to a slightly lesser extent, the full monty tied together with a common interest. NSW trips have been a bit light on for a while now though.

I really, honestly , feel it is time for a group hug.
I'm uncomfortable with the group hugging thing....if I can be exempt, I will probably subscribe but not in January. For several different reasons, I would prefer subscriptions of any sort not to be due in the silly season.

NSW trips have been a bit light on for a while now though.

Was thinking the same just today when looking at a thread about a trip to Ourimbah maybe a weekend at lake Lyell coming up
    '
As for this thread I have been a subscriber for a few years if it helps keep the place going then no problems I spend a lot more keeping 3 landies on the road so paying a small fee here for all the cheap help and advice is good value
