    Desert rains & flowers

With all the rain in central Australia, when would you expect the wild flowers to bloom?

BTW had about 500 mm here this week, it can stop now, the gardens watered

from now on Andy.....in some places it is sensational and will remain for weeks to come.

the bird life also changes with wild flowers.

should be very nice in the central deserts around easter.

    I'll be there.

I have been to the Simpson a few times and the difference a bit of rain makes to the vegetation is amazing. I can see how evolution has shaped the life cycles of the plants in this most inhospitable environment.

They do their thing and seed to ensure their species will continue.

An excellent thread on the exploreoz website, Wildflowers @ ExplorOz Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
