Le Mans 24hr - 2005

A quick question for you lot...

Do you guys get full coverage of the 24hr Le Mans race on Satellite/Cable? (It's going to be the 18th/19th June this year.)

Ali - It'll be on at the same sort of time you hit Sydney... Maybe that could be an excuse for a few beers & a BBQ somewhere???

Free to Air No.
Cable maybe.

Satelite system id say yes as you might be able to get a direct feed.

Motorsport in Aust has bad coverage full stop.
Only things we get covered are Bathurst, all V8 super car races, 500cc Bikes and F1.

WRC is neglected as it nearly everthing else

I've noticed they cant even pull crowds in Aust for Rallying. Stupid as its far more exciting then "these cars keep going round and round and round, its so bloody boring"
Ohh was i being bias?? must be my Rally days showing...

Its like Drag racing. Yanks love it. Even thou my Bro in law is Aust's fastest Top Fuel driver i could not give a rats...

I thought you would have done your research...
Cowin has been racing in the US for 3 years or more and old man Graham does not Drive. Son John or Andrew Drives.

No My Brother in Law (married my older Sister) is Darren Morgan from Mildura.

Have a squiz. Not bad for a Country Bloke. (mildura)
He used to Crew for Cowin and managed to get a car and sponser.

On his license pass he broke the Aust speed record for a Dragster over the Quarter.

Anyhow enough babbleing.
Ohh tickets... Hell i have to pay...

He builds kick ass cars in his spare time... if you want a nice engine built then call him. Morgan Perfomance Engineering in Mildura. Tell my sister Natalie i recommended you and you might get a dollar of...

Nicest thig he built was a mid 90's M5 BMW. decided the thing was to slow, so they bolted a blower on it. Very nice.... all under the bonnet.

We get WRC, but only an hour a week or two after the rally has been run and won. We get ARC the weekend after the event.

As for the Lemans 24hr, we wont get it live the whole thing, but we will no doubt get some coverage. God Channel 7 could only show 7hrs all up of the last Bathurst 24hr, and 5hrs of that was idle busll**** chit chat. Matt

Hmmmm.... Looks as though I'm going to have to make do with listening to it over the web. Radio Le-Mans do excellent coverage of the build up and the race.

Yeah, but it just aint the same as seeing it all. You would think fox sports or ESPN would broadcast it. Matt
