Knight

I have just had a quick look at the site, much better than the old one. Alot more simply and intuitive to use. To be really honest, I still find it frustrating.

    Just a few thoughts/comments?

    - I know why LRA use images from the UK and Europe (snow, ice etc), but does nothing in terms of building relevance to an Australian audience and prospective customer. Do we see Toyo and Nissan using images of Japan/US or Africa in their marketing? Think not. Not too expensive or hard to get some typical Australian images.

    - They have sections, like merchandise, accessories etc, but there is no real information, just really general stuff. Could be so much informative and useful and would really demonstrate that LR are the REAL experts when it comes to 4WDs.

    - Why do they show models not available in Aust (only looked at the Defender section where there are models not available here). Just makes us feel like a poor cousin and an outpost.

    - Years ago they use to have a section on trips and tracks. Once again, would not be hard to source info and demonstrates that LR are the genuine leaders in this field. Re-enforces the key messages of 'Experience' and expertise.

Hope this helps, just some thoughts.

    Thanks

Sorry Knight -- just came across the following which I think is a clanger!

Found this in the 'Adventures' and 'Experience' section which highlights some of my other comments.

"The centres are located all over the globe with nine in the UK alone, in areas as far reaching as Scotland to the West Country. Australia´s nearest Land Rover Experience centre is located in New Zealand, but we have big plans for our own centre here in Australia soon."

That really makes me feel ****ed off...great to know that I can just pop over to NZ. The Australian centre has been 'coming soon' for the past 12-18 months that I can recall.

Just leaves a reader/customer with a bad taste in your mouth. I am stoked for LR to have 'nine in the UK alone', but what about me in Australia. It is just useless 'bumph' and adds nothing to the site except get my back. Rather than cutting and pasting from the UK site, just leave it out until you have something relevant to an Australian audience.

    Just my thoughts.

If the 130 and 90 can only be ordered from a catalogue ... why can't we get other models like the 110 dual cab as well? Surely the ones they assemble and sell in South-Africa will meet AU standards. My Extreme came form SA .. :?: :?:

I think they have already been through the ADR process and the necessary mods can be made to the 130 and 90 on the production line. The 110 dual-cab, 90 Pick-up and commercial etc have not been thru ADR. I am only guessing, but I suspect that is the reason. :?
