Geez I'm Dumb (shut up the lot of you)

I did the dumbest thing yesterday, filled up the disco, paid and drove off, turned the first corner and i here plastic rolling on the road. I think I must have run over something, get 500m down the road and realise i didnt put the fuel cap on. I swumg around quick smart but it was flatter than a pancake. A quick phone call to LVS and $15 later there was one in the mail.

Righto, now, who has done it? Own up, dont be scared. Or who has left the oil filler cap. I lost the filler cap on the commodore once. I never did it again. $6 for the cap. Thats not to bad you say. But 11 efing dollars for the o ring to seal it. Why the hell arent they sold together? matt

Your title said "geez I'm dumb (shut up the lot of you)" so my lips were sealed.

Well I have left a wallet on the roof and on my first visit to the High Country left my glasses on the bonnet.............luckily we were able to find them.

The P38A has a holder in the filler flap to hold the cap.

But I once left a radio control transmitter on the roof. Never saw it again.

    It's human.

I lost an oiler filler cap once and walked kms in search of. Alfa caps can't be bought at Repco.

Another time I was stopped in traffic and advised that the petrol cap was sitting on the boot.

But in 30 years of driving I have never run out of fuel.

I can also admit i have never run out of fuel.

My brother bought a street hockey stick when he was younger and when we were loading the car he slipped it onto the roof. We drove 50km to home and when we got there it was still on the roof. It has slib back and the curved end had hooked into the roof rack.

We also had a magna (the old piece of **** boxy type). My brother left 50cents on the boot lid. Again did the 50km home. When we got there it was still sitting there, and these roads arent straight. matt

try washing and polishing the car then see if the coin is still on it.

the finish on the fagna sounds like it might have been rough faded dried paint 8)
